BEGINNER COURSE:

No partner or previous dance experience is required to attend. Partner switches occur about every 5 mins, every class. Each course covers L.A. Style Salsa, Colombian Style Salsa, and Merengue (another Latin dance played at Salsa clubs). There are 3 rotating curriculums, totalling 27 Salsa and 10 Merengue steps in Susana's beginner syllabus. That's at least 10 new patterns per course, besides the basics covered at the start of every course.

Course offers a progressive curriculum - each week builds on the next. By taking a thorough approach in learning the fundamentals, students are surprised at how much they are able to learn as the course progresses.

By the end of a course, students have built a vocabulary of steps including numerous underarm turns. Followers learn the principles involved in following any style of Salsa. All steps are 100% leadable.

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED:
Prerequisites: 2 or 3 of Susana's Beginner Salsa curriculums are recommended. There are countless steps in Susana's intermediate/ advanced syllabus which she has condensed into 5 very distinct and exciting curriculums, designed to create students who posses a vast experience with the many possibilities in Salsa dance. These 5 curriculums are rotated each season to offer students new material each course they attend. Therefore once admitted to this level, students tend to return many times for additional sessions. Each course offers an approximate 50/50 mix of LA Style and Colombian style steps, beginning with intermediate level patterns and ending with advanced patterns. Strong grasp of rhythm is absolutely essential. Material covered, further challenges rhythm through new effects and complex step or arm patterns that include cross-body leads, spins, travelling steps and more. All steps are 100% leadable.
