SUSANA DOMINGUES
Susana holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Ryerson University. She is credited with having taught a number of Vancouver's Salsa teachers. Susana gave her first performance of Salsa and Merengue in Toronto in 1986. Soon after she began assisting in class instruction.

By 1989, Susana was winner of the first ever Salsa Competition at Berlin Nightclub (now called Manhattan Fuel). After winning that competition, she went on to assist in the organization and promotion of the club's following 8 competitions.

Recently Susana was in TV commercials for Zales Jewelers and Armstrong Flooring. Since her arrival in Vancouver, Susana has spawned a whole new crop of talented Salsa dancers. Between teaching sessions Susana makes regular trips to Latin America to continue her study of dance. With over 20 years of dancing, Susana has developed her clear, concise system of teaching which breaks steps down to achievable segments.

Throughout the years since 1986, Susana's dancing has been featured on TV and at many official functions including Canada Day Celebrations at Ontario's provincial Parliamentary buildings, City TV's "Breakfast Television" program on numerous occasions, Toronto's yearly Hispanic Fiesta, the Gala Opening of the Argentine Consulate in Toronto, the Gala Opening of Palacio Latino in New York, Harbourfront Corporation's Tropicanada Show, Royal Ontario Museum's "Fiesta Del Sol", and the "Festival d'Espagne" at the Theatre St. Denis in Montreal. Her Salsa dancing was also featured during the "BCTV, TV for BC" ad campaign in 1997 and her teaching was featured on Life Network's program called "The Things We Do For Love".    continued >>
