1  2  3  4  5  6  7 TANGO TODAY Since the mid nineties there has been a growing influx of Argentine Tango Instructors traveling on tour, offering workshops and teaching communities about the social way to dance tango. Local "Tangueros"discovered another way to dance, one that was much more about the experience between a man and woman, accepting each other in an embrace, dancing totally in the present, intuiting suggestion and response, and moving around the floor with a freedom which allows expression through movement. The size and number of tango communities in North America has increased signifantly. North American tango dance instructors have increased their skill level dramatically through workshops and travel to Argentina and have then themselves, begun to tour offering workshops. Tango tourism to Argentina has also increased as Tangueros worldwide, discover for themselves the cultural sources of the dance and experience the wonderful spectrum of venues, history, teachers and dance styles the Buenos Aires Tango world has to offer.
